Credit Suisse Settles Enron Case For $61.5M

Law360, New York (June 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Investment bank Credit Suisse Group will pay $61.5 million to the creditors of now-defunct energy company Enron Corp., bringing an end to a lawsuit filed over equity transactions between the company and the bank.

The settlement, made public on Friday, resolves all matters related to Credit Suisse currently pending in Enron's bankruptcy proceedings. The settlement must still be approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
