Cardinal Drivers Seek OK For $4M Wage Action Deal

Law360, New York (July 25, 2011, 6:02 PM EDT) -- A class of former Cardinal Logistics Management Corp. truck drivers on Friday sought a California federal court's approval of a $3.75 million settlement in a suit that accused Cardinal of misclassifying drivers as independent contractors.

The plaintiffs, who made local deliveries from Home Depot stores, sought final approval of the class action pact. The deal won preliminary approval in April, and a class of roughly 265 current and former drivers was certified in 2008.
