Medical Transporter Irving Settles Drivers' FLSA Action

Law360, New York (July 25, 2011, 4:11 PM EDT) -- Drivers for medical transportation company Irving Holdings Inc. told a Texas federal judge Monday they had resolved a class action alleging Irving withheld overtime pay and incorrectly classified the plaintiffs as independent contractors.

Irving and the four drivers — Robert Spence, Patsy Warren, Brenda Lowrance and Richard Devaney — filed a joint motion for approval of a confidential settlement and dismissal of the case with prejudice, saying they had reached an agreement July 20.
