Lawmakers Press SBA On Set-Aside Loopholes, Oversight

Law360, New York (July 26, 2011, 3:14 PM EDT) -- Government agencies are getting better at preventing large businesses from taking advantage of government contracts intended for small businesses, but need to improve oversight, enforcement and data collection, federal officials told a U.S. Senate committee Tuesday.

Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Agency for International Development and General Services Administration testified before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on Tuesday, addressing lawmakers who expressed skepticism about reported progress.
