Ex-Irell Partner Accuses Chu Of Sexual Harassment

Law360, New York (July 25, 2011, 7:50 PM EDT) -- A former Irell & Manella LLP entertainment partner sued the firm Friday in California, alleging it interfered with her clients after she confronted her ex-boss, renowned intellectual property attorney Morgan Chu, about his conduct at an office happy hour.

Juliette Youngblood, former chair of the entertainment transactions group, alleged Irell & Manella retaliated against her for telling Chu that his comments at a 2009 event constituted sexual harassment and for repeatedly protesting the firm's allegedly discriminatory maternity leave policy.
