Debt Collector Sued For Alleged Illegal Robo Calls

Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 3:49 PM EDT) -- A California man hit NCO Financial Systems Inc. with a class action Monday claiming the collection agency placed robo calls to his cellphone without his consent in violation of federal law.

Named plaintiff Craig Witt is seeking to represent a class of at least 100 customers who received similar unwanted automated calls from the debt collector to their cellphones, according to the complaint.
