SAG Sues Over 'Leave It To Beaver' Actor Coverage

Law360, New York (July 28, 2011, 5:44 PM EDT) -- The Screen Actors Guild sued Federal Insurance Co. in California state court last week, alleging the insurer broke an agreement to cover a settlement that the guild paid “Leave It To Beaver” actor Ken Osmond over foreign tax royalties.

In its complaint filed July 22, the SAG claims that Federal refused to reimburse the $330,000 settlement, even though the insurer signed off on the deal in fall 2010. The settlement clearly fell under the terms of the insurance policy that the guild had from March 2007...
