Townsend Settles Suit Brought By Disgruntled Biotech Client

Law360 (November 23, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Townsend and Townsend and Crew has quietly settled a lawsuit that accused the California intellectual-property law firm of legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract over a decade of service.

Jim Gilliland, the firm’s chairman, told IP Law Bulletin that the firm has resolved a dispute brought by long-term client Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc., and that the complaint in San Francisco Superior Court would be dismissed.
