Software Co. Citrix Slapped With Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (July 29, 2011, 7:07 PM EDT) -- A former Citrix Systems Inc. employee slapped the software maker with a putative class action Wednesday in California federal court alleging it mislabeled workers as software engineers to avoid paying them overtime.

Yuckming Chiu claims the company broke California labor law by using “software engineer” and other titles as a catch-all in order to get away with classifying its various employees as exempt from overtime benefits.
