Ex-SAC Manager Gets 30 Months For Insider Trading

Law360, New York (July 29, 2011, 7:41 PM EDT) -- Former SAC Capital Advisors LP portfolio manager Donald Longueuil was sentenced in New York on Friday to 30 months in prison for trading on inside tips gleaned through expert networking firm Primary Global Research LLC.

“The crime was one that has infiltrated too much of the business of this country,” said U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff, who also sentenced Longueuil to two years supervised release but ordered no fine in light of the $1.25 million forfeiture Longueuil has already paid as part of his plea deal....
