News Corp. Tabloid Victimized By Hack Attack

Law360, New York (August 2, 2011, 6:15 PM EDT) -- News Corp.'s U.K. unit confirmed Tuesday that a cyber attack on the website of its tabloid The Sun has compromised the private information of readers who took part in the paper's competitions and polls.

News International spokeswoman Daisy Dunlop said in an email that the hacker had stolen names and contact information but did not access financial or billing information.
