McAfee Sounds Alarm Over Hacking Threats To Data

Law360, New York (August 3, 2011, 6:16 PM EDT) -- A massive five-year hacking operation compromised the data of dozens of government agencies, defense contractors and other organizations across the globe, a McAfee Inc. expert said in a white paper Tuesday.

McAfee's vice president of threat research Dmitri Alperovitch said the cyber security company published the white paper on “Operation Shady RAT” in order to raise awareness about the scope and dangers to intellectual property and trade secrets posed by such intrusions.
