XM, Sirius Hire Lobbying Firm To Push Merger

Law360, New York (June 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a bid to boost support for their proposed union, satellite radio providers XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio have reportedly tapped a high-profile Washington public affairs firm to lobby federal regulators that are currently reviewing the deal over antitrust concerns.

Quinn Gillespie & Associates LLC, led by Democratic White House veteran Jack Quinn and former Republican National Committee chairman Ed Gillespie, has been hired to push the proposed merger, Dow Jones reported Wednesday, citing federal disclosure forms.
