3rd Circ. Nixes Doctors' Challenge To Health Care Law

Law360, New York (August 3, 2011, 7:10 PM EDT) -- The Third Circuit on Wednesday affirmed a lower court's decision to dismiss a New Jersey-based nonprofit doctors group's challenge to the federal health care reform law's mandatory minimum insurance requirement, ruling the group did not show injury necessary for standing.

New Jersey Physicians Inc. and co-plaintiffs Dr. Mario Criscito and an unnamed patient did not show how the new law's individual mandate would injure them, the appeals court said.
