2nd Circ. Won't Revive $500M Telecom Antitrust Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (August 3, 2011, 10:30 PM EDT) -- The Second Circuit on Wednesday affirmed a lower court's decision to toss patent-holding company Siti-Sites.com Inc.'s $500 million antitrust suit against Verizon Communications Inc., Cisco Systems Inc. and other telecom giants for lack of standing.

A three judge-panel held that Siti-Sites.com lacked standing to bring claims under antitrust laws because the company did not directly suffer from the violations alleged in the suit.
