SEC Clears Ex-Enron Atty's Return To Securities Law

Law360, New York (August 4, 2011, 1:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday cleared former Enron Corp. in-house attorney Jordan H. Mintz, now an executive at a Texas oil company, to resume practicing securities law following a two-year ban.

In 2009, Mintz settled allegations that he violated federal anti-fraud statutes by making material misrepresentations and omissions relating to Enron's financial status in the days leading up to the energy company's collapse in 2001.
