Federal Courts Can't Hear Indian Land Row, 9th Circ. Says

Law360, New York (August 5, 2011, 6:08 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit decided Friday that a contract dispute between two Montana oil and gas companies over U.S.-held land allotted to Indian tribe members is outside of federal jurisdiction, affirming a lower court's decision to dismiss the suit.
