Under Armour Strikes Deal In Rawlings' Helmet IP Fight

Law360, New York (August 8, 2011, 2:52 PM EDT) -- Settling a trademark and patent infringement suit in Washington state, Under Armour Inc. agreed to a federal court order Thursday barring it from slapping its logo onto images of a Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. batting helmet in advertisements and promotional materials.

U.S. District Judge Marsha J. Pechman signed off on the companies' stipulated order, which called for the permanent injunction against Under Armour and for the dismissal with prejudice of Rawlings' claims for trademark and patent infringement, false advertising, unfair competition, state consumer protection law violation...
