Ex-Directors Guild Lawyer Alleges Sex Discrimination

Law360, New York (August 8, 2011, 4:33 PM EDT) -- Directors Guild of America Inc. was sued Friday in a California court by a former legal adviser for the entertainment labor union who says she was fired after complaining that the company pays higher salaries to male employees.

Jill Killion said the DGA violates state employment law by routinely paying its male workers more than their female counterparts and that it unlawfully retaliated against her after she brought the salary disparity to the attention of a supervisor.
