GPU Chip Makers Ask To Halt Discovery, End Case

Law360, New York (June 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in an ongoing antitrust class action over alleged price-fixing by graphics chip makers should not burden the defendants with an expensive discovery process until they first articulate a “plausible entitlement to relief,” the chip makers said on Thursday.

In a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Nvidia Corp., ATI Technologies Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. asked a judge to stay all discovery in the ongoing multidistrict litigation.
