5th Circ. Affirms Ruling On Oil Spill Defense Costs

Law360, New York (August 10, 2011, 6:38 PM EDT) -- The Fifth Circuit said Wednesday that defense costs related to a 2008 crash between a Laurin Maritime Inc. tanker and an American Commercial Lines LLC barge should be deducted from, not added to, the barge towing company's insurance policy.
