Rihanna, Photog Move Toward Deal In Copyright Battle

Law360, San Diego (August 11, 2011, 3:00 PM EDT) -- A photographer who sued pop superstar Rihanna in New York for allegedly ripping off his images for her “S&M” music video took a step toward resolving the dispute Thursday, with the case referred to a magistrate judge for the purpose of a settlement.

The move comes days after U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin signed off on Rihanna’s stipulation to replace Pryor Cashman LLP with Holland & Knight LLP to help her defend the copyright infringement case.
