Merchandiser Hits Kraft Foods With Wage Class Action

Law360, New York (August 12, 2011, 1:39 PM EDT) -- Kraft Foods Global Inc. was slapped with a putative class action in California on Thursday that accuses the snack food giant of failing to pay its merchandisers proper overtime and denying them required meal and rest breaks.

Former merchandiser Adeline Metcalfe lodged a complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that Kraft's treatment of its employees violated state wage laws.
