Luxpro Competition Suit Against Apple Survives

Law360, New York (August 15, 2011, 2:59 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday denied Apple Inc.'s motion to dismiss a competition suit in which MP3-player maker Luxpro Corp. claims Apple made false statements about the Taiwanese company's products.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey S. White denied nearly all of Apple's motion to dismiss the suit, ruling that Luxpro had cured the deficiencies he noted in March when he partially granted a motion dismiss the company's earlier complaint.
