Irell Decries Ex-Partner's Sex Bias Claim Against Chu

Law360, New York (August 15, 2011, 1:19 PM EDT) -- Irell & Manella LLP said Thursday that a former entertainment partner's claims of gender discrimination and sexual harassment at the hands of intellectual property litigator Morgan Chu were “complete fabrications,” and moved to bring the suit to arbitration.

In a motion to compel arbitration, the firm argued that plaintiff Juliette Youngblood, the ex-chairwoman of the entertainment group, would have to make her case through confidential arbitration because of a provision of the Irell & Manella partnership agreement for which she voted as recently as 2008....
