Bloomberg Hit With Suit Over Unlicensed Use Of Photo

Law360, San Diego (August 15, 2011, 5:28 PM EDT) -- A photographer sued Bloomberg LP on Friday in New York for allegedly using his portrait of the co-founder of Internet pioneer Netscape Communications Corp. as part of a TV news segment without purchasing a contractually required license.

Louis Psihoyos, a Colorado resident and professional photographer, claims New York-based TV station operator Bloomberg and California-based production firm Luminant Media Inc. infringed his copyrighted portrait.
