No New Trial For Mexican Playboy Distributor

Law360, New York (August 16, 2011, 9:59 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Tuesday refused to grant a new trial in Playboy Enterprises Inc.’s suit alleging a Spanish-language distributor violated a licensing agreement with the publisher, saying the defendants’ arguments had already been addressed and rejected.

Because the defendants raised identical arguments in an earlier-denied motion for reconsideration of the court’s November order finding the defendants liable for the contract breach, U.S. District Judge Randy Crane denied the motion.
