Yellow Tail Maker Settles Suit Over Wallaby Mark

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 3:22 PM EDT) -- Casella Wines Ltd., the maker of Australia's Yellow Tail wine, on Wednesday settled a New York lawsuit accusing a rival of infringing the trademarked wallaby that appears on its bottles.

Casella and the Wine Group LLC, which makes wines called Little Roo and Kanga Reserve, filed a joint stipulation saying they had reached a deal to end the 10-month-old suit. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
