Ford Model-Poaching Suit Is In: Judge

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 7:20 PM EDT) -- A New York judge on Wednesday ruled that a modeling agency can pursue claims that its founder and a rival agency, Ford Models Inc., poached its employees and sabotaged its business after a private equity takeover bid collapsed.

Judge Barbara Kapnick ruled that there were sufficient allegations in the complaint to allow it to move forward, including accusations that Ford and Men Women N.Y. Model Management Inc.'s founder, Paul A. Rowland, "acted in concert in recruiting and soliciting plaintiff's employees to join Ford."
