BMW Secretly Recorded Calls To Debtors: Class Action

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 12:51 PM EDT) -- BMW Financial Services NA LLC was hit with a proposed class action Wednesday in California accusing the company of harassing customers late on loan payments with a barrage of daily calls and surreptitiously recording phone conversations.

Kern County resident Shirley Agnew claims BMW called her as often as 10 times a day to force her to make a payment from October through November. Agnew became delinquent on her loan in October after facing high medical costs, according to her complaint.
