Calif. AG Sues Attys Over Mortgage Litigation Scam

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 8:43 PM EDT) -- The California attorney general's office said Thursday that it was suing 20 law firms and other companies for allegedly scamming thousands of vulnerable homeowners out of millions of dollars by telling them they could become plaintiffs in lawsuits against major mortgage lenders.
