Contractor Settles Civil Suit Over Fake Drug Test Claims

Law360, New York (August 23, 2011, 6:48 PM EDT) -- One day after admitting to criminal charges, a Chicago contractor agreed Tuesday to pay $393,000 to settle a related civil suit brought by the Illinois attorney general claiming her company, K.K. Bio-Science Inc., billed for drug tests it never performed.

Contractor Anita Mahajan also accepted a prohibition barring her from contracting with the state of Illinois as part of an agreed order in the civil litigation, Attorney General Lisa Madigan said.
