Peters Atty Tells Jury Harassment Suit Was For Money

Law360, Los Angeles (August 24, 2011, 7:48 PM EDT) -- Jon Peters' attorney told a California jury Wednesday that the woman accusing the Hollywood film producer of sexual harassment only filed suit to embarrass him in the press and force a quick settlement.

John Gatti of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP said during closing statements that his client was vulnerable at the time Shelly Morita filed her 2006 lawsuit, months before the release of “Superman Returns,” which the defendant helped produce.
