Sick Las Vegas Hotel Guests Seek $337M In Damages

Law360, New York (August 24, 2011, 6:05 PM EDT) -- Former guests of the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas sued the hotel Tuesday in Nevada federal court, seeking more than $337 million in compensatory and punitive damages after they allegedly contracted a form of pneumonia from the hotel's water supply.

Six of the eight plaintiffs stayed at the hotel between April and June, and the other two are spouses of the guests. The guests say they contracted Legionnaire’s disease, a sometimes-deadly form of pneumonia, from hotel showers and other vaporized water sources. As a...
