Judge Deals Blow To Boston Scientific In Medinol's Patent, Trade-Secret Suit

Law360 (December 3, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a stinging setback for Boston Scientific Corp., a federal judge has held that the medical device maker violated its agreements with Israel’s Medinol Ltd. when it set up a secret stent-making operation in Ireland in 1997.

In an 84-page ruling issued Wednesday, Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York narrowed the scope of the dispute and he scheduled a meeting in January to set the date for a trial.
