Ingersoll-Rand, Schneider Sued Over Wireless Network IP

Law360, New York (August 26, 2011, 5:07 PM EDT) -- Patent-holder IntusIQ accused Schneider Electric USA Inc., Ingersoll-Rand Co. and several of its subsidiaries in Texas federal court Thursday of infringing a pair of wireless mesh network patents.

Georgia-based IP Co. LLC, which conducts business as IntusIQ, accuses the infringing companies of violating U.S. Patent Numbers 6,044,062 and 6,249,516, which cover technology used in smart utilities and smart meter products. Joining industrial supplies manufacturer Ingersoll-Rand as named defendants are Ingersoll-Rand brands Schlage Lock Co. LLC and Trane Inc.
