Alleged Blackwater Shooter Seeks Return To Afghanistan

Law360, New York (August 26, 2011, 7:14 PM EDT) -- A former Blackwater Worldwide contractor who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for killing an Afghan civilian asked a Virginia federal judge earlier this month to allow him to return to Afghanistan to work for another contractor for three months.

In June, Christopher Drotleff was sentenced to 37 months in prison but was granted bond pending his appeal. He told U.S. District Judge Robert G. Doumar on Aug. 17 that he had received an offer from Hue Technology Inc. to be a concrete worker at a salary...
