Wal-Mart's Blessings Mixed In Class Actions

Law360, New York (June 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Wal-Mart took one step forward and two steps back on Tuesday, after three courts across the U.S. ruled on the class status of workers' wage and hour lawsuits against the retail giant.

New York's Supreme Court sided with the company and denied class certification to employees who have accused Wal-Mart of systematic “wage abuses,” but the state courts in Missouri and New Mexico were not so kind to the country's largest employer.
