Ducati Riders Settle Fuel Tank Class Action

Law360, Washington (August 29, 2011, 6:18 PM EDT) -- A class of Ducati North America Inc. motorcycle owners asked a California court Friday to approve a settlement with the company over unexpected expansion of plastic fuel tanks on certain Ducati machines, which allegedly leaked fuel and interfered with steering.

The settlement will provide Ducati owners with notice of the fuel tank expansion issues, prompt repairs to address all identified problems potentially associated with fuel tank expansion and an extended warranty program for the repairs that will also include an additional warranty for the fixes themselves,...
