Gallagher Partly Disqualified From $42M CERCLA Suit

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 5:58 PM EDT) -- An Arizona federal judge on Friday disqualified the Phoenix firm Gallagher & Kennedy PA from representing the Roosevelt Irrigation District in part of its lawsuit against Honeywell International Inc. and several other companies for allegedly contaminating the district's groundwater.

Gallagher will no longer be able to represent RID in its claims against Honeywell, Corning Inc., Univar USA Inc., Dolphin Inc. and the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District. The firm can still represent RID, a political subdivision of Arizona that operates 100 groundwater wells, in its claims against dozens of other defendants.
