MGA's Insurers Seek Slice Of $108M Bratz Fees

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 2:10 PM EDT) -- Four major insurers are seeking millions from a $108 million attorneys' fee MGA Entertainment Inc. won from Mattel Inc. in a protracted trade secrets and contract battle in California over Bratz dolls, according to a Friday court filing.

National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Lexington Insurance Co.; Chartis Specialty Insurance Co.; and Crum & Forster Specialty Insurance Co. moved to intervene Friday, claiming they paid more than $80 million in legal fees for MGA, which prevailed in the latest round of the dispute....
