US Told To Reconsider Clean Energy Finance Program

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 4:47 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday ordered the Federal Housing Finance Agency to reconsider a policy decision that stopped a program that financed renewable energy retrofits for houses.

Siding with the state of California, U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken said that the FHFA probably broke rules on federal policy changes when it decided it would not finance mortgages for homeowners who received money under the Property Assessed Clean Energy program.
