Handful Of Borders Leases To Go To Books-A-Million

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 6:59 PM EDT) -- A New York bankruptcy judge approved a deal Monday for Books-A-Million Inc. to snap up store leases from bankrupt Borders Group Inc. after an earlier deal fell apart and various landlords resolved their objections.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn gave his preliminary motion to approve the $934,000 agreement pending submission of a final order. The deal will see 14 Borders leases handed over to Books-A-Million, which in July abandoned a bid to buy the leases and assets of 30 Borders stores. That announcement came about a...
