MyLife Fraud Class Action Withstands Bid To Dismiss

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 2:54 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge refused Monday to dismiss a consolidated class action accusing MyLife.com Inc. of luring consumers with false claims that "someone" was looking for them and then overcharging them to use a service that never connected them to anybody.

U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken ruled Monday that the consumer plaintiffs had supported their claims that MyLife had distributed false statements that someone was looking for recipients, and that the self-described "people search" site had used deceptive price representations to attract customers.
