Forensics Co., PR Firm Settle Feud Over Campaign Ads

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 5:30 PM EDT) -- Aegis Sciences Corp. said Tuesday it had settled its defamation suit against a public relations firm over campaign ads asserting the forensics company conspired with a congresswoman married to its CEO to secure Tennessee state contracts.

Aegis did not disclose the monetary terms of the settlement with Bright Media Inc. and said it would still pursue claims against Lou Ann Zelenik for allegedly conspiring with the PR firm to create the ads when running against now-Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn., for Congress in 2010.
