GAO Protest Halts $890M Combat Vehicle Contract Work

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 5:12 PM EDT) -- The Army stopped work Tuesday on two technology development contracts for ground combat vehicles, together worth $890 million, pending losing bidder Science Applications International Corp.'s bid protest with the Government Accountability Office.

Work on the contracts, awarded this month to BAE Systems PLC and General Dynamics Corp., was ordered to a halt pending the resolution of SAIC's bid protest, which was filed Aug. 26.
