Borders Says Next Jump Poached Valuable Customer List

Law360, New York (September 1, 2011, 5:20 PM EDT) -- Borders Group Inc., which this month won approval to auction off its website and trademarks, accused online marketer Next Jump Inc. of poaching customers and marks Wednesday in a breach of contract, Lanham Act and trade secrets adversary suit.

The complaint claims Next Jump's allegedly unlawful activity stems from an agreement that predates Borders' February Chapter 11 filings, in which the New York City-based Next Jump agreed to service the bookseller's website dedicated to rewarding return customers.
