Deutsche Bank Ditches Motown Hitmaker's Contract Suit

Law360, New York (September 2, 2011, 2:51 PM EDT) -- The judge who gutted Motown hitmaker Lamont Dozier's suit against Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and Deutsche Bank AG in May over an agreement to securitize his music royalties tossed a final remaining contract claim against the bank Thursday.

Dozier, an artist and songwriter, re-filed a breach of contract claim against the Frankfurt-based Deutsche Bank after New York federal Judge Lawrence M. McKenna, citing timeliness grounds, dismissed the law firm from the proceedings May 10 and also let Deutsche Bank off the hook on a claim...
