Blagojevich Makes Another Run For Corruption Retrial

Law360, New York (September 2, 2011, 3:55 PM EDT) -- Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich again requested a new trial on Thursday, claiming prosecutors had picked jurors who were already itching to convict him for allegedly trying to sell President Barack Obama's U.S. Senate seat.

Responding to the government's opposition to his previous bid for a retrial, Blagojevich argued an Illinois federal court failed to stop prosecutors from stacking the deck against him and made numerous other errors that warrant new proceedings.
