Sikorsky Overbilled Army $12M For Parts: DOD Inspector

Law360, New York (September 9, 2011, 3:46 PM EDT) -- Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. overcharged the U.S. Army $11.8 million for 28 spare parts under a supply contract supporting the Corpus Christi Army Depot, a U.S. Department of Defense report revealed Thursday.

Reviewing Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command purchases with Sikorsky for the depot, the U.S. Department of Defense's Office of Inspector General said in the report's summary that the aircraft manufacturer charged the Army 51.4 percent more than fair and reasonable prices for those parts.
